Condoms FAQ

Why should you use a condom?

Condoms are used to help with the prevention of unplanned pregnancies and the transmission of HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’s).

Do any of your condoms contain glycerine and/or parabens?

No, they are all glycerine / paraben-free.

Do Pasante condoms contain casein?

No, they do not. Pasante condoms contain no animal-derived ingredients.

I've got a bigger or smaller penis than average, do you offer condoms I can use?

We offer a range consisting of 4 different sizes, which covers most men.

Are thinner condoms more likely to break?

No, the thickness of a condom doesn't necessarily correspond to safety. All of Pasante's condoms have to pass a variety of quality tests including electronic testing. No matter the thickness, shape, colour or flavour, you can rely on any condom in the Pasante range.

Can I use Pasante condoms for anal sex?

Whilst the use of condoms for anal sex can increase the risk of breakage or slippage, to help protect yourself and others from STI’s, we recommend that you use condoms with additional water or silicone-based lubricant for anal sex.

Can I use flavoured condoms for both oral and vaginal sex?

Pasante flavoured condoms are intended primarily for vaginal sex. However, they are suitable for oral sex for the prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs). We recommend if used in oral sex that a new condom be used for vaginal sex, and vice versa.

Can I use lubricants with condoms?

Is it safe to use condoms underwater or in a shower?

We don't recommend using condoms underwater, as it can increase the risk of slipping off. However if you choose to use them underwater or in the shower, make sure you put the condom on before getting into the water. Various substances existent in the water such as bubble bath, bath oils and soap may have a deleterious effect on the latex condom material.

How do I make sure my Glow condom will glow-in-the-dark?

In order to get Pasante Glow glowing, the condom needs to be exposed to light for about 30 seconds. You may expose the condom to light while it is still in the wrapper (turning the transparent side of the foil towards a light), when you are putting it on, or after it is already on. For best results, keep the lights on bright while you put on the condom, or turn up the lights for about 30 seconds after you put it on. Once activated, the condom will glow brightly for about 15 minutes, followed by an afterglow that can last for hours. Re-exposing the condom to light while it’s still on will recharge it and make it glow brightly again. But remember, you should never re-use a condom.

Can you re-use a condom?

No - absolutely not. All condoms are for single use only. A brand new, unopened condom should be used every time.

What do the numbers stamped on the back of the condom foil/box mean?

Pasante foils and boxes are stamped with the expiry date and batch number when they are manufactured. The expiration date represents the length of time the product can be safely used for. The batch number is an identification number assigned to a specific quantity of goods. We can use this number to trace the history of a product’s production if required.

Can condoms cause an allergic reaction?

Most condoms are made from natural rubber latex and some people are allergic to this material. We have non-latex condoms available, including Unique and Female Condoms in case you are allergic to latex.
